What you will be able to do

The course is built backward from these. Every lesson exists because one of them needs it.

Set up your business

Branding, users and roles, hours and agreements — the settings that turn up on every report you send.

Run a job on a phone, offline

In an attic or a crawlspace, without losing work. Including exactly where the sync boundary sits.

Write findings that hold up

Photographic evidence and defect narrative a buyer, an agent and a lawyer can all read.

Know the limits, not just the features

What the software does and does not do — so nothing surprises you on a paying job.

How a lesson works

Every lesson has the same shape, so you stop spending attention on navigation after the second one.

  1. 1

    One objective

Stated up front. If a lesson needs three, it should have been three lessons.

  2. 2

    Five to eight minutes

Sized for the gap between jobs. Read it on the phone you take into the field.

  3. 3

    A task to do

Done on a made-up job on your own account, so a mistake costs you nothing.

  4. 4

    Two questions

Retrieval beats rereading. You get the reasoning, not just a tick or a cross.

Each module ends with a graded quiz. Eighty per cent to pass.

Get one wrong and you are told which lesson to revisit, not just what you scored. Retake it as often as you like — only your best result is kept.

You need somewhere safe to practice

The tasks in this course run on your own account, on a client and property you make up and an inspection you never deliver. Nothing reaches anybody until you deliberately send it — so you want your first mistake to happen there, not on a paying job.
